Etihad is celebrating 15 years of cruising the skies

During a relatively short time, the airline has reached many different milestones and is now one of the most recognisable airlines in the world. After beginning with operation on November 5 2003, with a single Airbus A330-200, it now has a fleet of over 100 aircraft. It serves more than 84 destinations around the world and has flown more than 139 million passengers worldwide.

Celebrating its anniversary, Tony Douglas, Group Chief Executive Officer, Etihad Aviation Group, said: “We are tremendously proud of Etihad’s achievements in just fifteen years. In this short time, we have emerged as one of the world’s most respected and recognised airline brands, known for leading the way through innovation, and upholding the best aspects of Arabian hospitality, delivered to millions of customers with a style and flair synonymous with the national airline of the United Arab Emirates. We can look to the future with renewed vigour and vitality, as the airline of choices, showcasing Abu Dhabi everywhere we fly".

If you’re flying with Etihad this November, you will spot the crew wearing commemorative ties and scarves. We wish all the best to the airline, as it continues to operate more than 1000 flights per week all over the world.

Etihad flight delayed or cancelled? Claim compensation.
